Luxury Apartments and Flats in Paris

Ah, Paris… the city of Light, what can we say about the French capital that hasn’t already been said a thousand times before? We all know how amazing Paris is. It’s consistently on lists of the most romantic cities in the world, the most visited capital city, the most cultured, the best place for shopping. And did we mention it has some of the most recognisable and popular tourist attractions in the world? Think of the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre or Notre Dame for example, and do you remember the Emily in Paris TV series?

But the city of Paris is also home to more than two million people, with the wider population of its suburbs estimated to be around ten-and-a-half million. It’s a great and diverse place to live, with great transport links and something for everyone, from the wealth of culture and history to the cool bars and amazing restaurants, the laid back attitude and chic style.

There’s excellent choice for investors looking for homes either for themselves or for real estate rental market. Properties range from classic to contemporary, stylishly understated to opulent, beautiful 18th and 18th century buildings line the streets and boulevards, and you’ll find more affordable studio apartments in the city, too.

Obviously as you are looking to invest in one of the most visited capital cities on the planet, prices are higher than elsewhere in France but, like London, New York, Singapore or Tokyo, you can’t really go wrong: the value of property just keeps going up. But you really do need to know what you’re doing as property sells like ‘hot croissants’ here and competition only looks set to increase as an influx of international buyers move to the city in anticipation of the Rugby World Cup and the Olympic Games in 2024.

So it’s  important to act quickly when you see something you like. If you don’t speak French very well and are not familiar with property laws in France, the buying process in Paris will be more difficult. A good start is knowing that property is valued in price per square metre, with prices varying depending on which arrondissement you’re buying in.
